SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator with expertise in transforming legacy command and control systems into a modern hybrid cloud environment to accelerate decision making and increase mission success. This new program is part of a broader effort to provide a tactical operational picture aligned with the JADC2 and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) to adapt to new and emerging threats.
SAIC is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support our United States Air Force customer in both development and engineering practice, and site reliability engineering and operations. The DevSecOps Engineer will build, manage, maintain and scale an operational infrastructure and the supporting platforms and be an integral part of business development and be a critical subject matter expert for consulting and implementation support.
Responsibilities include:
Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible.
Maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure.
Provide Source Control Management/Documentation, create and maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; write, build and deploy scripts.
Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance. Support full automation of CI/CD testing.
Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers.
Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate deployments and support infrastructure and tooling in on-prem and cloud-based platforms.
Provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations of product.
Continuously identify opportunities to automate and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
U.S. Citizenship and a DOD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Proven background working in DevOps software development environments with specific experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Software Program Management / Acquisition.
Agile software development with Scrum or Kanban.
Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence.
CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or MS Azure.
Cloud - Platform One.
Cross Domain Solutions.
C-ATO.
Multi-Level Security Networks (MLS / MILS).
Containerization with Docker or Red Hat Podman.
Container management with Kubernetes.
Container deployment with raw Kubernetes manifests and Helm.
Agent and agentless Automation platforms (e.g. Ansible, puppet, salt).
Image registries (e.g. Artifactory, Harbor, GitLab Registries).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Security automation.
Security scanning tools (e.g. SonarQube, Anchore, Trivy).
SBOM generation.
STIG automation and compliance.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
