ColdFusion Developer

We are seeking a ColdFusion Developer for a long-term assignment working remotely from anywhere in the US (Texas preferred) to work on upgrading and migrating Adobe ColdFusion v.9 applications to ColdFusion v.21 or later. You will be required to comply with the client's data security and use policy and be able to comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and implementations, as well as complex business processes. This work shall ensure migration of applications to lower environments and the production environment. Regular change management and security scan processes will be observed for this effort. Migration will require some code refactoring to remediate deprecated code due to version upgrade and potential security vulnerabilities. Web content will take the approach of lift and shift with no new content generated for this effort. Additional project work may be assigned to these developers, specifically relating to upgrading and migrating web content and ColdFusion applications in the agency's diverse environments.

Responsibilities Include:
Designs, develops, updates, and migrates ColdFusion applications including but not limited to:
Configuring ColdFusion web applications using IIS Web Server.
Using ColdFusion Admin console.
Enabling different levels of logging options in ColdFusion.
Knowledge of deprecated functionality and changes to functionality from CF9 to CF21
Conducts testing to verify logic and ensure compliance with development standards and system/business requirements.
Completes complex project work, including troubleshooting and correcting coding errors/issues.
Provides status updates on work assignments and any technical issues that present risk to project timeline as required by selected project framework.
Has experience in Software Development Life Cycle.
Ability to work in an agile software development environment.

Requirements
Yrs Experience
8 ColdFusion/CFML web application development, support & design in a database-centric environment
5 Experience configuring ColdFusion web applications using IIS Web Server.
5 Experience using ColdFusion configuration options in Cold Fusion Admin console.
3 Cold Fusion migration experience from old to new versions including the newest Cold Fusion version.
3 Enabling different levels of logging options in ColdFusion.
3 Experience using Microsoft SQL Server

Preferred
1 Experience using JWT (Jason Web Token)
1 Experience with integrating ColdFusion web applications with Azure B2C is a plus.
