Schneider Electric is looking for a Systems Application Engineer III with experience in Access Controls for the upper state of New Jersey!

What will you do?

As the Systems Application Engineer III, your role is vital for managing the technology supporting the Security Command Center, enterprise physical access control system, and video management system.

Responsibilities include monitoring technical controls for regulatory compliance, managing system patching and life cycle planning, overseeing asset onboarding and off-boarding, and leading projects related to access control and video management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining compliance with regulatory programs such as NERC CIP, SOX, BPU, and FERC
  • Affiliate Restrictions, managing patching cycles for workstations and servers, upgrading/implementing systems, overseeing life cycle management and vulnerability mitigations, and supporting infrastructure projects.
  • Access Control: field controller initialization, reader configuration, access permissions, schedules, software configuration, and programming and graphical floorplan creation.
  • Digital Video: IP cameras; configure recording parameters; create maps.
  • IT Systems: support and maintain Automation systems and related infrastructure, including software/firmware upgrades, backups, and troubleshooting for automation systems and related infrastructure (servers, computers, network switches)
  • Your ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, respond to emergencies, and collaborate effectively with IT and Cyber Security Risk Compliance (CSRC) teams are also essential for success in this position.


Who will you report to?

This position reports the the IT Services Manager in Lyndhurst, NJ.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Engineering, or five or more years of technical experience in physical security systems, at least two years of experience with physical access control and video management systems.
  • Proficiency in administering Active Directory, strong networking and security IP device knowledge
  • Must have AMEG and GENETEC!
  • Commend would be a plus!
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance
  • In-depth understanding of access control technology and methodologies, computer and network hardware and software support practices
  • Security access controls and Digital Video platforms (Genetec, ICT, Feenics, Milestone, Axis)
  • Troubleshooting skills in security technology, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
