Job Description:
Role: Data Center Engineer
Locations: Sunnyvale, CA(Onsite)
Work on W2.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- 8 10 years of relevant hands-on experience in data center operations and engineering
- Part-time (approx. 20 hours/week) flexible schedule required; emergency/weekend work possible
- Ability to travel to data center co-lo in Sunnyvale within 2 hours (expected weekly, more during outages)
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs+ to manage server hardware (unpacking, racking, configuration, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving data center issues (hardware, software, overheating, NICs, cabling, server downtime, etc.)
- Design, implement, and maintain robust data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, etc.)
- Strong experience with major technology vendors (Dell, HPE, Supermicro, etc.)
- Familiar with Equinix co-location processes, procedures, and logistics (shipping/receiving hardware)
- Able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proven expertise in Data Center Discovery and Migration
- Solid background in Performance Monitoring and proactive infrastructure health management.
