C.H. Robinson is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support our Central Engineering and account teams. In this role, you will drive innovation as you revolutionize warehouse facilities and material flow processes for our valued customers. Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative solutions aligned with C.H. Robinson's and customers' visions
  • Drive continuous improvement by optimizing inventory management, refining facility layouts, and streamlining material flows
  • Use data analysis to solve complex problems while designing and implementing processes that resonate with stakeholders and drive optimal outcomes
  • Shape enterprise-level and supply chain strategies that lay the foundation for sustainable growth and industry-leading efficiency
  • Analyze inbound, outbound, and inventory operations to create and maintain optimum warehouse operations
  • Lead projects geared toward cost savings, amplifying processes, and boosting productivity
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma principles for optimal ROI while overseeing labor management
  • Establish standardized designs for customer warehouses and distribution
  • Implement efficiency plans, warehouse slotting, and SKU analyses
  • Collaborate with vendors for operational solutions and automation
  • Build strong relationships with customers while resolving challenges, offering insightful perspectives, and contributing to a heightened competitive edge in the market

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial engineering experience in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to stand and/or walk while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and periodically lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestically and minimal international travel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the continuous improvement, maintenance, and safety of multiple warehouses / facilities
  • Third party logistics experience
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and management skills to include the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Labor Management Experience - TZA ProTrack, Red Prairie, etc.
  • WMS Experience - High Jump Korber, etc.
  • MOST Certification
  • Proficient in using PowerBI and building dashboards
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD
  • Experience in Warehouse Managemnt Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Warehouse modeling and simulation software experience
