Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust database solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical specifications.
- Serve as a Technical Architect, providing strategic guidance on database design, development, and integration.
- Work across all facets of the product lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, user training, and post-deployment support.
- Lead and collaborate with project teams to implement and support database solutions for complex projects in Finance and Banking domains.
- Work with various Oracle platforms (19c, 12c, 11g, 10g, 9i), and tools such as ODI, PENTAHO, and Oracle Forms and Reports.
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL code, ensuring efficiency and scalability for large and complex database applications.
- Utilize Oracle utilities (SQLPlus, SQLLoader, PL/SQL, DATA PUMP, IMPDP, EXPDP, DBMS_SCHEDULER, TOAD, SQL Developer) for various database administration and development tasks.
- Implement database normalization techniques, data flow diagrams, and performance tuning strategies.
- Oversee data migration, data mapping, and table mapping activities, ensuring successful data loading, exporting, and troubleshooting.
- Design and maintain interfaces between applications, ensuring seamless data flow and integration across systems.
- Provide thought leadership and mentorship to junior developers and project teams.
- Interface with clients to gather technical and business requirements, translating them into actionable solutions.
- Communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines, consistently delivering quality results in high-pressure environments.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, database security, and efficient data management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Approximately 10-15 years of hands-on experience in database development, design, and architecture.
- Proficiency in Oracle 19c, 12c, 11g, 10g, 9i, with deep knowledge of Oracle utilities such as SQLPlus, SQLLoader, PL/SQL, DATA PUMP, and DBMS_SCHEDULER.
- Extensive experience with Oracle Forms, Reports, Unix Shell Scripting, and technologies like XML, XSL, JavaScript, Crystal Reports.
- Expertise in data migration, data mapping, and integration using tools like SQL*Loader, UTL_FILE, and Import/Export utilities.
- Strong background in Database Design, Data Warehousing (Star Schema, Snowflake, Surrogate Keys), and OLTP environments.
- Solid knowledge of SQL tuning, PL/SQL debugging, and normalization techniques.
- Proficient in additional programming languages including C, C++, Python, and Perl.
- Solid experience with Informatica, data warehouse concepts, and database troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent time management skills and a proven track record of handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Customer-focused, highly organized, and a self-starter with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical details to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Agile methodologies and working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Experience with enterprise-level data management and architecture.
- Certifications in Oracle Database or related technologies are a plus.
