RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Desoto, KS that is seeking a Software Project Manager.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly-organized Software Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the progress of our software development projects. This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development methodologies, excellent team management skills, and the ability to track and control project scope, time, and budget.
Responsibilities:
* Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders
* Develop detailed project plans, including scheduling timelines and designating project resources
* Monitor and track project progress, ensuring it is on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding expectations
* Coordinate and manage the efforts of the software development team
* Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of project status and any changes
* Identify, address, and resolve issues and risks that may affect the project
* Ensure software projects comply with best practices and standards
* Provide project updates and deliverable reports to stakeholders
* Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement in future projects
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* Proven experience as a Software Project Manager or similar role
* Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello)
* Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
