Job Summary :
The Manager, Internal Communications Technology serves primarily as an advisor and first point of contact for our internal communication channels, including the intranet and team member communication app. Both well organized and creative, this digitally savvy individual shares our passion for technology and understands its capacity to connect, inform and empower people across our company. As a member of the Communications Technology and Insights team, this key role helps design and implement channel enhancements and maintains our platforms in close collaboration with mostly internal (and at times, external) communications teams as well as IT and technology vendor partners. The person will consult colleagues on channel/technology solutions for internal communication campaigns to support our strategy, mission and purpose. Part of this role will be to analyze metrics and create reports on communications effectiveness, provide recommendations, plan and design training modules and offer guidance to platform editors in various departments. The ideal candidate is a team player, advisor, problem solver and creative mind with a can-do attitude.

Job Responsibilities :
- Provides counsel to communications teams and channel editors related to our internal digital channels, including the intranet, team member app and email platform, helping achieve communication objectives through effective digital channel usage.
- Supports the development and implementation of our digital communication channel roadmap that is integrated with the company purpose, vision and values and supports key activities and communications campaigns.
- Develops and implements training modules and templates to support a network of channel editors, including outlining objectives, strategies and tactics, creating appropriate messaging and templates, managing stakeholders and timelines.
- Tracks channel performance and creates analytics reports, makes recommendations and provides best practices to communications teams and editors that help drive channel effectiveness and maximize campaign outcomes.
- Potential to post articles and content on internal communications platforms, working with content creation teams, business and operations communications.
- Collaborates with IT and technology vendor partners to implement channel enhancements, maintain platform effectiveness and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Identifies industry trends and recommends technology enhancements to improve communications and team member engagement.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience managing internal digital communications channels OR a high school diploma/GED and at least 5 years of experience managing internal digital communication channels.
- Experience leading cross functional teams.
- Experience providing counsel and digital channel management support to communications team members and channel editors, including building pages/digital assets and publishing digital content.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), mass email systems, PowerPoint and Excel and measurement/channel analytics.
- Experience analyzing site data and making recommendations for improvement in engagement and activation.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
- Experience using time management and organizational skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications and/or English.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience managing internal digital communication channels.
- Experience using Google Analytics and Microsoft Access.
- Presentation and visual communication skills including PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop or similar.
- Experience in the indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.
