Job Description
Product EMC/Radio Compliance Engineer
What you will be doing
Provide comprehensive regulatory and compliance review of EMC/Wireless testing, test plans and test reports. Verifying items such as test setups, input voltage and immunity frequencies standards.
Test our products for global market access for radio certifications.
Interact with the test house and drive the entire radio certification process, (getting quotes, preparing DUTs, attending the testing at test house as necessary).
Obtain and prepare the required documentation for formal certifications and answer compliance related support questions.
Resolve compliance issues by working with various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and software.
Help maintain and sustain the product radio technical files for the production life of the products.
Assist product development teams in applying and understanding design standards and codes.
Submit required compliance reports to safety agencies and review 3rd party technical files and documentation as required by standards.
What you will bring
BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience certifying wireless devices.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Compliance Engineering equivalent in working with Notified Bodies and standards preferred.
Experience in interpreting and applying 60101-1-2. Including CISPR 11 and IEC 61000 standards.
Experience in interpreting and applying regulatory radio standards including FCC CFR 47 Part 15, ETSI standards (EN 300 328, EN 302 064, etc.), and others.
Experience Global Market Access Wireless Certification in the following countries (Armenia, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Paraguay, Russian, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates)
Experience with Radiated Spurious Emissions and/or radiated EMC testing.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Self-motivated with high performance standards.
Experience in performing IEC 60601-X tests and test setups preferred.
Experience or understanding of ISO 14971, FDA and EU requirements preferred.
Experience or understanding of EMC preferred.
