Mid-Level DevOps Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our financial services client's Enterprise Technology Hosting & Engineering (ETH&E) Department within the Enterprise Technology & Security (ET&S) organization. As a key member of this cross-functional Agile team, you will play a crucial role in driving automation, reducing risk, and increasing efficiency across the bank.
Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing automation, effective testing, and infrastructure-as-code, while working closely with a cross-functional engineering team to deliver cutting-edge solutions. You will design and implement secure automation solutions, manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and ensure the high availability and scalability of our systems. Location: Jacksonville, FL working a hybrid schedule
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with languages like Golang, Python, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience with deploying applications to Kubernetes/OpenShift using Helm
- Experience in CI/CD Pipelines with an understanding of integrating tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Jfrog Artifactory
- Experience developing Jenkins Shared Libraries in Groovy
- Experience with GitHub Actions
- Expertise with Git and tools such as Bitbucket/GitHub/Azure DevOps Server
- Experience with Container Technologies – Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
- Writing Docker files and building images for containerized services
- Good communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, and able to apply new technologies when appropriate
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with Ansible
- Experience with cloud-based services
- Experience with DevOps tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 6+ years of overall experience
Other Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel to other locations (rare)
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications (optional)
