What you'll be doing...

The Commercial Data & Analytics team is part of the Verizon Global Services (VGS) organization. As part of the team, you will be helping to create and deliver a comprehensive measurement and reporting approach for all of Verizon Consumer Groups. In this role, you will interact with cross functional teams working throughout Verizon bringing new experiences to life for our customers.

You will help in measurement, reporting for cross-functional teams as they plan, build and launch world-class experiences. You will help translate raw data into actionable insights and better experiences for our customers. Your deep knowledge of measurement solutions will help to determine the best approaches for implementations that best meet business needs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Implement and configure Tagging solutions using Adobe Launch Tag Manager, Adobe AEP, Google Tag Manager, and other internal tools and third party systems to capture detailed and actionable data across digital platforms.
  • Maintain a standardized approach to tagging code and tracking to support robust and consistent analytics reporting.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of analytics implementations in both staging and production environments to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Using vanilla JavaScript.
  • Utilizing Tag management tools (e.g., Tealium, Adobe Launch, Google Analytics) in a multitude of development environments.
  • Conducting root cause analysis on code anomalies and make recommendations to optimize.
  • Assisting in optimization through A/B testing of experiences and campaigns.
  • Actively participate in agile team settings to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to data tagging or analytics tracking.
  • Define and document technical requirements for the integration of new analytics technologies and data assets, with a specific focus on leveraging the XDM standard.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in a role focused on tagging implementations.
  • Proven expertise in JavaScript (vanilla).
  • Experience with at least one tag management solution: Adobe Launch (Adobe Data Collection, Adobe Tags), Tealium, Google Tag Manager or similar.
  • Experience or strong knowledge of digital tagging architectures.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with Adobe Web/Mobile SDKs/ AEP Data Collection.
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a continuous delivery environment and utilize modern programming methodologies.
  • Understanding of Adobe WebSDK and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and its integration with digital analytics and data management workflows.
  • Experience with mobile programming (iOS or Android).
  • A degree in business, marketing, information systems, analytics/business intelligence, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or other related technical discipline.
  • Ability to forge relationships with both IT (e.g., web, ops, development) and business (e.g., Product Line Management, Marketing, Metrics/Analytics, Legal, Testing) teams.
  • Good leadership and ability to drive results, positively influence change, and motivate others within a non-direct reporting structure to take action/execute.
  • Proven critical thinking, creative problem solving, and decision-making skills with ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative and hyper-changing environment.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Certification in Adobe Analytics, Site Catalyst or Google Analytics.
  • Understanding of basic development workflow, environments, and platforms such as NodeJS, Git, VSCODE (or similar IDE).
  • Experience developing browser-based extensions and applications.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
