At Regions, the Technology Field Services Technician is responsible for the configuration, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of computer systems, peripherals, printers, networks, and telecommunications systems used to support all associates.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Installs computer hardware, software, printers, scanners, and other end user peripherals
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots hardware and software issues within the computing environment
  • Coordinates warranty repairs, replacements, and returns with manufacturers to resolve operating issues
  • Assists in installing, troubleshooting, and supporting core network infrastructure, including switches and routers, patch panels and network cabling
  • Records, updates, and documents tickets in Information Technology ticketing systems
  • Coordinates the technology issues related to facility renovations, new construction, and associate moves
  • Coordinates computer hardware and software purchases, including determining customer requirements and specifications
  • Maintains accurate inventory of computer assets throughout the product lifecycle, including procurement, shipping, deployment, decommissioning, and disposal
  • Provides training and technical assistance to users
  • Supports Facilities and Business Unit projects
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as needed
  • Travels as necessary


This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four (4) years experience working with computers, printers, peripherals, network hardware, software, firmware, and operation systems
  • Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds
  • A valid driver's license


Preferences
  • A+ Certification
  • Some college level courses plus technical training
  • Familiarity with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Analog Phone Systems/PBX equipment and telecom cabling


Skills and Competencies
  • Advanced experience in computer maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Advanced knowledge of computer imaging, software installation and support, and implementing standard desktop and laptop solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of physical server environments, network folder access, and drive mappings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Proficient in printer installation, configuration, component functions, driver installation, maintenance and repairs
  • Thorough understanding of LAN/WAN network hardware, implementation, and support


This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary location being for Nashville, TN. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$62,220.00 USD
