Job Title: Technical Expert - Frontier (Reconciliation)
Job Overview: We are looking for a Technical Expert for Frontier, responsible for supporting and managing the technical aspects of Frontier Reconciliation (formerly FIS application FIN Tech) and General Ledger (GL) reconciliation systems. This is an IT-focused role that requires expertise in system configuration, troubleshooting, and integration of Frontier with other financial applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the technical side of Frontier systems and a solid understanding of financial reconciliation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and expertise for the Frontier Reconciliation system (formerly FIS FIN Tech), ensuring seamless operation and efficient integrations with other financial systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve system errors, and implement fixes to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Work closely with the finance and IT teams to configure and customize Frontier based on specific business needs and requirements.
- Ensure the smooth integration of General Ledger (GL) reconciliation systems with Frontier, optimizing workflows and improving data accuracy.
- Conduct system upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to the reconciliation process.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure the timely resolution of issues related to integrations, data flow, and security.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, scalability, and security.
- Assist in testing and validating new features, patches, and system changes to ensure proper functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical expertise in Frontier Reconciliation (formerly FIS FIN Tech), including configuration, troubleshooting, and system support.
- Strong experience in General Ledger (GL) reconciliation systems from a technical integration perspective.
- Proficient in SQL, data integration, and data analysis for financial applications.
- Strong understanding of financial systems architecture, including backend processes and data flow.
- Experience with system integration and ensuring data consistency across multiple platforms.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with financial software.
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems and integration points between systems.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday or similar financial management systems, especially in integrating financial applications.
- Familiarity with financial data security protocols and best practices.
- Experience with automation tools for reconciliation processes and system workflows.
- Experience in cloud-based financial applications and understanding their architecture.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or other scripting languages for process automation.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in an IT role supporting financial systems, particularly in reconciliation and general ledger applications.
- Frontier expertise required
