Currently we are currently seeking a Network Administrator to join our team. This role involves installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of networks including associated hardware.

An active Secret Security Clearance, Sec+ certification and a CCNA certification is required. The work location is Washington, DC.

ROLE:

  • Monitor system networks for messages, alarms, or issues.

  • Identify issues or problems and resolves as appropriate; escalates when necessary.

  • Troubleshoot problems using scripts.

  • Ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.

  • Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed.

  • Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD requirements, including updates, STIGs and IOS upgrades.

  • Install, configure, and maintain encryption devices.

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Bachelor s degree with a minimum of 2+ years of related experience, additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Currently possess a DoD Secret security clearance

  • Active CompTIA Security + or CCNP Security certification

  • Active CCNA Certification.

  • Knowledge of LAN switching, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations.

  • Understanding of Layer 3 routing protocols ((EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS) and best practices.

  • Familiar with programming, maintaining and troubleshooting encryption devices and their management via GEM-X.

  • Experienced with DoD network and application security hardening.

  • Experienced with L1/L2 network troubleshooting in both NIPR and SIPR environment.
