Our client, a global leader in industrial safety and productivity solutions, is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join their expanding team at their state-of-the-art headquarters in Milwaukee's Fifth Ward. This role will be pivotal in implementing a new Business Intelligence platform designed to empower multiple business units with data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Databricks, Tableau, and ideally a background in the manufacturing sector. - Design and maintain ETL pipelines in Databricks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs.
- Develop data models and Tableau dashboards for insights.
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Databricks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5+ years in IT, 3+ in data engineering or analytics.
- Expertise in Databricks, SQL, and Python.
- Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of big data technologies and machine learning.
- Background in manufacturing is a plus.
