Software Developer III

Hybrid- Newport Beach, CA

6 Month contract- potential for extension/conversion

Remote/EST

Our insurance client is looking for a Sharepoint Developer to join there team in Newport Beach, CA. This is a contract opportunity reporting onsite a dew times a week. If you are interested in applying to this opening please also share your resume to Madeleine at and she will reach out directly.

You will use SharePoint and Power Automate to design and develop a document management library for check-in/check-out of MS Office documents using templates stored in a separate library. You will build multiple views and dashboards, including tabular, calendar, and Gantt formats. You will also create capabilities to extract structured data from uploaded MS Word documents to be stored as fields within the database, using SharePoint's "classify and extract" or other methods that adhere to security standards. Additionally, you will design UI forms for data entry, including text fields, hard-coded pick lists, and dynamically populated pick lists from tables. You will manage three or four additional lists linked to the document library, with varying relationships to the design documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Own the project from inception to completion, including knowledge transfer and transition to staff.
  • Analyze complex requests, independently design, build, test, and deploy software releases to support project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and recommend appropriate technologies.
  • Work in an agile manner to deliver functionality in stages, supporting both DEV and PROD environments.
  • Develop and maintain high-level requirements documents, adding details as requirements are elaborated.
  • Provide post-production documentation for ongoing maintenance and support.
  • Maintain and share task and defect lists, reviewing them with the project owner during daily design and status meetings.
  • Support and coordinate issue management from identification through resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members, both verbally and in writing, and be a solutions-oriented team player.
  • Use individual judgment and initiative with minimum supervision, prioritizing and communicating conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Create and update estimates of milestone delivery dates.

Experience:
  • Required experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, and application integration.
  • 7+ years of experience in application design, development, and testing in a Microsoft 365 environment.
  • A Bachelors degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
