Job Details

Work closely with a cross-functional team to plan and implement responsible development and depletion programs. Primary responsibilities include reservoir surveillance, reserve and resource evaluations, full-life production forecasting and depletion plans, as well as economic analyses for corporate planning and budgeting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop solutions to identify risk and mitigating activities.
  • Create improvement initiatives that result in value generation, efficiencies, and/or reduction of risk.
  • Perform pattern analysis, depletion, steam chest management, and overall reservoir surveillance initiatives.
  • Manage reserves and resource outlooks for areas of responsibility inclusive of inventory management and delivery of annual reserves presentation to auditors.
  • Create and optimize asset development plans for execution and future budgeting.
  • Communicate technical information and discoveries effectively.
  • Mentor, guide or direct less experienced engineers and team members.
  • Take corrective action and / or escalate as necessary.

BACKGROUND

  • Solid experience in oil and gas development and production.
  • Experience in the development of mature fields, including the application of enhanced oil recovery techniques to heavy oil reservoirs.
  • Strong knowledge of all reservoir technical principles, theories, and concepts and extensive knowledge of business principles, industry practices, and standards
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office suite and petroleum engineering software.
  • Advanced knowledge of the economic evaluation of oil and gas projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of reservoir surveillance and modeling, both static and dynamic.
  • Advanced knowledge in the application of reservoir engineering fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated a strong knowledge of reserves reporting practices.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling, completion, geoscience, petrophysics, and facilities.
  • Regional experience in several oil and gas producing basins, including exposure to multiple state regulatory schemes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field, with advanced Degree preferred.
