Job Details

TEAM SIZE:
  • 9 Electrical Engineers

MUST HAVES:
  • Manage and lead others.
  • PE
  • NEC (National Electric Code)

NICE TO HAVES:
  • Experience in Federal/Municipal Government, Healthcare, or Aviation.
  • LEED AP certification.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the design effort on both large and small projects.
  • Manage design schedules and oversee design team members.
  • Collaborate directly with Architects and Owners.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to assigned projects.
  • Mentor senior and junior-level staff.
  • Prepare various written reports and meeting minutes.
  • Produce and lead the creation of design documents (drawings and specifications).
  • Travel for projects both nationally and internationally as needed.
  • Provide Quality Control (QC) to ensure adherence to applicable codes, company standards, and project requirements.
  • Serve as a technical consultant for planning, design, and construction across various facility categories.
  • Assist in determining departmental resources and long-term planning.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Serve as the individual in responsible charge of projects (DOR).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • PE Registration with the ability to be licensed by comity in other states.
  • 15+ years of experience in Electrical Design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and coordination/arc flash studies.
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Strong knowledge of Building Codes, applicable NFPA Codes, and Energy Codes.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
