Java developer with equity trading

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features tailored for Capital Markets, with a focus on Equity and Front Office systems.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness by conducting code reviews and implementing best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development, particularly within the financial domain.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong emphasis on Microservices and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of Capital Markets, specifically in Equity and Front Office functionalities.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Prefered, but not required:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
