Customer Solutions Director - RAN Software Lead
Location: Morristown, NJ


Our Opportunity

Verizon is full speed ahead evolving their network to 5G. Particularly in the RAN Area, we have already launched mmW and low band NR and we are full steam ahead for C-band launch during 2021.

The main focus of this role as lead for the Radio SW team within CU Verizon CTO Office, is to drive the radio engagement with Verizon HQ organization as well as the regions. enabling the Verizon CU to fulfill its business targets and OKR's.

You will:
  • Lead CU Verizon Radio SW team with team members based in Basking Ridge, NJ and across the US geography
  • Drive and coordinate Radio SW roadmap discussions with Verizon HQ and BNEW
  • Drive new feature introduction for 4G and 5G, including Cloud RAN
  • Secure timely delivery of Verizon critical features following through the FOA process entry and exit criteria
  • Align Verizon requirements with Ericsson and ecosystem partners
  • Drive performance evaluations and feature improvements to get most out of the RAN network
  • Interface with CU Verizon Sales team at Regional and HQ levels
  • Bring new industry insights and know-how from broader Ericsson

To be successful in the role, you must have:
  • Very deep RAN SW product portfolio knowledge including LTE, NR (low. Mid & high bands), 5G Advanced.
  • Understanding of Ericsson's Purpose built & Cloud RAN architecture
  • Strong holistic RAN skills on deployment scenarios, performance, optimization, etc.
  • Deep understanding of SW development process
  • Deep understanding of Verizon's FOA process, entry and exit criteria definition
  • Strong RAN product deployment and configuration skills
  • Good understanding of complete RAN/mobile network
  • A mindset & passion to raise the bar in delivering superior
  • Strong team player working very closely with Sales, Product Management, PDU, Domain and Program Office.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to share business and industry insights that matters to drive the business forward.
  • Thought leader in RAN
  • Good listener with very high interest and curiosity to understand Verizon's specific challenges and needs and find solutions for these.
  • Communicate and discuss Ericsson's technology strategy and vision with customer Technical Managers & SME"s
  • Ensure that the customer CTO/CIO and organizations understand the latest technology solutions from Ericsson and their advantages relative to alternatives.

Key Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science) and MS preferred.
  • Business acumen (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • 10 years of relevant ICT experience including relationship sales, product management or consulting
  • 7+ years of in pre-sales, design, and delivery of RAN Technology
