Job Details
Location: Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative RF Architect to lead the design and development of cutting-edge wireless network solutions, including 4G, 5G, and emerging technologies. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end radio architecture, performance strategy, and integration of RF systems across a variety of platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of RF systems for wireless communication networks (4G, 5G, mmWave, Sub-6 GHz).
- Develop link budgets, propagation models, and system-level simulations to evaluate and optimize network performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, RAN engineering, and network planning.
- Evaluate new RF technologies and tools to improve coverage, capacity, and energy efficiency.
- Define system requirements and oversee design verification and field validation.
- Interface with vendors and stakeholders to ensure RF designs meet regulatory, technical, and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (Ph.D. a plus).
- 10+ years of experience in RF engineering with at least 3 years in a senior or architectural role.
- Expertise in wireless standards including LTE, NR (5G), Wi-Fi, and IoT protocols.
- Proficient in tools such as Atoll, Planet, TEMS, MapInfo, or similar RF planning/simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of antenna systems, MIMO, beamforming, and propagation environments.
- Experience with network KPIs, drive test analysis, and system optimization techniques.
