Title: IT Integration Engineer (Contract) - Job#5219

Location: Springfield, MA area/Hybrid Remote (onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Job Description:
Our client located in the Springfield, MA area has an immediate opening for an IT Integration Engineer to join their team in a hybrid remote capacity. The IT Integration Engineer Consultant will be responsible for the development and maintenance of application integrations between configuration management database (CMDB), IT applications and platform tools using APIs and custom integrations.
Responsibilities

  • Identify the integration needs between applications and documenting them
  • Work with SMEs to design the integrations between systems to meet the requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues by identifying root cause and develop a plan for problem resolution.
  • Identify and re-mediate vulnerabilities in a timely manner
  • Design, program, implement code, test, install and configure applications
  • Work in a team environment to support user and other technical staff
  • Learn business processes and adhere to software and change management and IT standards
  • Facilitate information sharing across multiple technical teams in both verbal and written format

Required

  • A four year, Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in software development and integration
  • Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming languages
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Experience working with relational database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Basic understanding of AWS cloud platform
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
  • Ability to independently coordinate and communicate cross team efforts to accomplish tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; excellent communication skills and team player
  • Understanding of agile development methodology
