Staff Accountant
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid – 1 day onsite)
Pay: Starting at $39+/hr, depending on experience

Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in a hybrid role based in Denver. You’ll play a key role in supporting financial operations, including reconciliations, reporting, and close processes, for a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies

  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, audit schedules, and intercompany reconciliations

  • Ensure accurate general ledger coding of invoices, deposits, and development-related job costs

  • Prepare financial and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate financial records and adhere to company accounting procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 1–2 years of general ledger accounting experience (preferably with reconciliations and reporting)

  • Experience with Yardi or RealPage/OneSite is a plus

  • Familiarity with real estate, property, or multi-entity accounting is helpful but not required

  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software systems

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently

  • Professional, reliable, and eager to learn
