Job Details

Please note that this is a 1 year contract position.

Client is looking for entry level candidates with Bachelors Degree in Chemistry/ Science or 1-2 years of experience with clinical documentation or BioTech industry.

8AM - 5PM

MUST HAVE:

Experience working with a LIMS
Experience in sample management
Experience working sample couriers, brokers and vendors
Experience working in a GMP or a GLP environment

Education:
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration and 1-2 years experience

Experience/Proficiency:

1-2 years of Bioanalytical or sample management experience required.
Required: Experience working within cGMP/ GMP/ GLP environment, preferred: specifically related to sample handling and reagent/sample shipment
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage time.
MS Office proficiency
Proficient at working within a team to efficiently complete tasks
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems

Managing the bioanalytical samples from the manufacturing process. That means working with sample couriers and brokers, as well as any other sample management vendor.
"Experience working with Biological samples. They can not be samples from other industrial areas. The right candidate must be scientifically literate. They will look at lab techs with technical degrees and new grads from academia that have biological sample management experience and they need to have experience working in some sort of Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS).
The person must be a self starter and demonstrate a sense of urgency and proactiveness. They must be able to function independently to drive the process forward."
Direct experience in the role is ideal

Responsibilities:

Support sample management efforts across large molecule areas. This includes the movement of sample and reagent materials on site, domestically, and internationally.
Serve as primary logistics coordinator for major vaccine and biologics franchises in BVA
Perform second scientist and second person review as required
Operate and contribute to the various sample inventory systems on site (RLIMS, Bioinventory, etc.)
Resolve discrepancies, with responsibility for confirming and correcting any anomalies in the LIMS system.
Perform sample manipulation as required (e.g. dispensing, aliquoting, labelling, etc.)
Ensure all work is compliant with all regulatory expectations and conforms to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Submits audit responses for approval as appropriate.
Sample reconciliation
Maintains well documented, organized and up-to-date study files with respect to sample paperwork/inventories
Attend meetings, contribute to efficient problem-solving and follow-through on actions Draft and review scientific notebook entries
Performs other related duties as assigned
