We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various engineering projects, with a particular focus on highway and road engineering. This role is a perfect match for an individual who has a deep understanding of project acquisition and delivery and is passionate about contributing to the development of infrastructure in our communities. This position is full-time and requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Resident Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the planning, design, and construction of highway and road engineering projects.
2. Leading project acquisition and delivery, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Coordinating and collaborating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and other engineering professionals.
4. Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
5. Providing technical guidance and expertise to the project team, and resolving any engineering issues that may arise.
6. Preparing and presenting detailed reports on the progress of projects to senior management and clients.
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations in highway and road engineering.
8. Implementing risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with the projects.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Resident Engineer role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in highway and road engineering with 10 years overall, with a proven track record in project acquisition and delivery.
3. In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and safety standards.
4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make effective decisions under pressure.
6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS.
8. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
9. Registered PE in California
