Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $190000 - $224000
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work closely with our development, operations, and security teams to ensure the secure and efficient delivery of our products to our customers. You will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining our DevSecOps practices and tools, while also identifying and mitigating potential security vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain DevSecOps practices, including automation, continuous integration and delivery, and security monitoring
Design, develop, and deploy secure infrastructure and applications using modern tools and techniques
Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security controls to protect against potential threats
Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation
Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to development teams on secure coding practices
Work with third-party vendors and partners to ensure their compliance with our security standards
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging security threats, and make recommendations for process and technology improvements
Participate in on-call rotation for urgent security incidents or outages
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevSecOps role, preferably in a fast-paced, agile environment
Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Knowledge of security concepts and best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control
Experience with security scanning and monitoring tools such as SonarQube, Nessus, or Splunk
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Relevant certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are a plus
