Job Details

A company in the Philadelphia Suburbs is seeking a Network Engineer that specializes in Azure.
As an Azure Cloud Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the network infrastructure within the Azure cloud environment. You will work closely with the client's IT and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration, optimal performance, and security of the network systems. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure networking services, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions in the Azure cloud.
  • Configure and manage virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and VPN gateways.
  • Implement and maintain Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Traffic Manager.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations.
  • Ensure network security through the implementation of firewalls, encryption, and other security measures.
  • Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to support cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Automate network tasks using scripts and tools such as Azure PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Stay updated with the latest Azure networking technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on cloud environments.
  • Expertise in Azure networking services including VNet, NSG, Azure Firewall, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, and Application Gateway.
  • Proficient in network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP).
  • Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other relevant tools.
  • Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Azure certifications (such as Azure Network Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
