Job Title: Senior Tableau Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced visualizations and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Tableau, strong data modeling skills, and the ability to work with diverse data sources. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful reports and insights.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced visualizations and dashboards using Tableau.
  • Map business requirements to functional and technical specifications and deliver comprehensive reports.
  • Handle data from various sources, including HANA, Oracle, and others, using appropriate data blending techniques.
  • Identify data inconsistencies and gaps, and effectively communicate findings with Data Engineering and Business Teams.
  • Utilize Tableau features such as data blending, filters, actions, and hierarchies to optimize visualizations.
  • Schedule reports using Tableau Server, administer users, user groups, and scheduled instances.
  • Configure Tableau Administration tools, including adding users, managing licenses, and data connections, and scheduling tasks.
  • Embed Tableau dashboards into other applications for seamless integration.
  • Apply knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts, ETL, Star Schema, Snowflake, and data modeling.
  • Leverage SQL for data analysis and integration.
  • Utilize SAP reporting tools like Business Objects and AFO for enhanced reporting capabilities.


Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in Tableau development and advanced visualization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, ETL, and data modeling.
  • Expertise in handling data from multiple sources and applying data blending techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and SAP reporting tools like Business Objects and AFO.
  • Ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies effectively.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Snowflake and advanced data modeling techniques.
  • Experience embedding Tableau dashboards into other applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
