Role: SAP Vertex Consultant

Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Vertex Consultant with a deep understanding of SAP Finance to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting Vertex solutions within complex SAP environments.
This role will be crucial in providing expert guidance, implementing best practices, and ensuring seamless integration between Vertex and SAP Finance modules.
You will be responsible for leading projects, mentoring junior team members, and delivering exceptional solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of Vertex implementations and upgrades within SAP Finance environments.
- Design, configure, and implement Vertex solutions to meet complex tax determination and reporting requirements.
- Provide expert-level functional and technical guidance on Vertex O Series, Vertex Indirect Tax Returns, and related modules.
- Integrate Vertex with SAP Finance modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, SD) and other relevant SAP modules.
- Develop and maintain detailed functional and technical specifications, test plans, and training documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Vertex and SAP integration.
- Perform system testing, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP Finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the latest Vertex and SAP technologies and best practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients and internal teams.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations and proposal development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting Vertex solutions within SAP Finance environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP Finance modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, SD) and their integration with Vertex.
- Proven experience in designing and configuring tax determination rules and logic within Vertex.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- SAP certification in Finance or related modules is highly desirable.
- Experience in S/4HANA is a plus.
- Experience with tax automation tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Vertex Cloud solutions.
- Knowledge of tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience with data migration and integration tools.
- Consulting experience with a focus on client satisfaction.
