Who We Are

PCMI (Policy Claim Management International) is a fast-growing, leading provider of integrated software for Extended Warranty Management and Finance and Insurance (F&I) administration. We are a SaaS company that operates in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Our 3 teams located in the US, Poland, and Thailand work collaboratively around the clock to build our PCRS platform that automates the full administration lifecycle of all extended warranties, F&I products, and service contracts for our customers.

What You ll Do

As the API Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our API ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient API solutions. Additionally, you will drive API adoption, ensure adherence to API standards and best practices, and provide technical leadership to API developers.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement an API strategy that aligns with business objectives and enables seamless integration across platforms and systems.
  • Lead the design and architecture of APIs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define API specifications.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of APIs, including API documentation, versioning, and backward compatibility.
  • Define and enforce API standards, best practices, and governance policies.
  • Drive API adoption by providing support to internal and external developers, conducting training sessions, and promoting API usage.
  • Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to APIs and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our API ecosystem.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to API developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

What You ll Need to Join Our Team

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in API development, with a strong understanding of RESTful principles, GraphQL, and other API protocols.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and secure APIs in a complex environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of API management platforms, such as Azure API Management, Apigee, MuleSoft, or AWS API Gateway.
  • Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, RAML) and API testing frameworks.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments, preferred.
  • Certification in API management or related fields (e.g., Apigee Certified API Engineer), preferred.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), preferred.
  • Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms, preferred.
