Dynamics 365 Business Analyst CE Module
Our client is a non-profit in Tysons Corner. This is a non-profit that is trying to help people with disabilities - so the people who work here are truly trying to do the right thing. Their mission is to increase the employment of people with disabilities by building strong partnerships with the federal government and engaging a national network of nonprofit agencies and experts. It's a great place to work, and feel good about what you're doing. We have been asked to help them identify a great Dynamics 365 Business/Functional Analyst who knows the CE module.
The Business Analyst is responsible for process analysis, process improvement, change management and data management within Dynamics 365 CE module. This position is responsible for the elicitation, creation and refinement of business and systems requirements while supporting development and implementation of technical solutions; participating in Change Management activities; the development/documentation of acceptance test cases; training accounting personnel with D365 and a variety of operational tasks as required. This individual will have responsibilities in leading tasks within the full life-cycle of projects encompassing requirements gathering, solution definition, design, process refinement, development and testing. Individual must be well versed in functional aspects of various Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE modules with insight into technical aspects and will also be responsible for providing production support with significant business user interaction, collaborating with his/her IT colleagues and business subject matter experts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in Sprint demos and testing, to learn the functionality being implemented
- Read about and understand business processes being implemented
- Collaborate with project team members, assigned training department people and business subject matter experts to build materials (i.e., job, aids, video recordings, presentations, guides), prepare SMEs, and facilitate delivery that satisfy the training needs for go-live
- Develop exercises and data to support training needs
- Assess design implications of new requirements and be able to communicate this information to all affected groups for them to determine how the design implications impact their functional area
- Participate in requirements review sessions with internal and external stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders in functional areas to develop process and/or data requirements
- Liase between business users and technical team to ensure ongoing alignment and issue resolution. Also, coordinate regular status updates to business owners throughout projects
- Support UAT for major application efforts; subsequently support the development of test cases collaborating with business owners to validate that each application delivers the needed value
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Required:
- BS/BA with a technology/business/engineering related degree
- 3+ years experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving with root cause analysis experience
- Experience working with an agile/scrum implementation methodology
- Experience with user stories, process maps, user journey maps and similar tools
Preferred:
- Some project management, change management and business analytics experience
- Functional domain expertise with sales, marketing, business operations, finance and/or accounting
- Able to identify and articulate existing/as-is process models while identifying aspects of data and technology actions needed to accomplish the desired end state
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps is highly desired
This will be a long term contract opportunity. The initial engagement will be 9 months, with the possibility of extension as necessary for this project, or to potentially work on future projects. During the contract period, the hourly rate will be $70-$85/hr (as a 1099 or C-2-C). We would also be willing to make you a W2 if you would prefer a different compensation model.
Location: 100% Remote if beyond 30 miles of one of our clients offices; hybrid (2/3 days in office) if within 30 miles of one of their offices in: Vienna Virginia main office, Kennesaw GA, Rosemont IL, Arlington TX, or San Ramon CA.
