Job Description
The Senior Field Engineer provides a high level of in-person customer service implementing, maintaining, resolving technical issues, supporting, and optimizing all customer workstation and server hardware, software, and network equipment and connectivity.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for working through our ticketing system to configure, implement, monitor, manage, and support all clients IT environments.
4-8 years server, storage, networking, and security experience.
Experience with server virtualization such as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware.
Strong background with Microsoft products (Azure, Active Directory, 365, Exchange, Intune).
Requires minimal supervision and works with large scope, more complex issues and projects.
This is a coaching/mentoring role for Analysts and Engineers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge: This position requires 4-8 years of experience. Degree in field of computer science preferred. Industry certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco and other is a plus.
- Skills: Must be customer service focused. Must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Abilities: Must collaborate with peers to problem solve and find the best solution and outcomes Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must have ability to meet deadlines.
