Data Scientist I, Launch Program 2025 - United States

This role is not eligible for Mastercard's work authorization sponsorship. Launch Program
The Launch program is a development program that is supplemental to the role and is designed to help you transition from being a student to being a Mastercard employee. In this program, you will participate in:

Role Description
As a Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to:
- Gather relevant information to define the business problem
- Ability to work cross-functionally, and across borders drawing on a broader team of colleagues to effectively execute the AI agenda

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or accelerated master's program graduating between Winter 2024 - Spring 2025
- Experience or demonstrated coursework in data analysis
- Deep Learning algorithm techniques, open-source tools and technologies, statistical tools, and programming environments such as Python, R, and SQL
- Experience in data engineering, data analysis, data visualization, and/or data modeling
- Tooling experience with Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and/or Splunk
- Classical Machine Learning Algorithms like Logistic Regression, Decision trees, Clustering

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
