Job Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders and portfolio and solution architects to identify reasonable migration paths from the current state to target architectures
• Work closely with various teams (Business, Development, Infrastructure, PMO, ) to define and implement elegant, scalable and sustainable technical solutions using the Salesforce technologies, with a focus on adhering to industry standards, best practices and code quality techniques
• Research, recommend and implement AppExchange applications and salesforce upgrades to help meet business needs
• Provide Salesforce technical leadership for team of developers, admins and analysts
• Document current and future state processes and develops technical specifications for projects and enhancements
• Aid end-user application support (troubleshooting errors, managing support tickets, and testing solutions) and release management (migration, refreshes, version control and deployment) as needed
• Lead design of technical end to end solution for business processes using Salesforce.com Sales Cloud, Service cloud platform
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and re-prioritise responsibilities based on changing requirements (such as urgent customer problems
• Evaluate new Salesforce tools as they become available, and implement where appropriate
• Proactively identify and report data trends or potential data problems
• Lead consulting engagements and manage customer relationships with both business and technical clients
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to develop and maintain SF architectural roadmaps
• Proof-of-Concepts involving Salesforce technologies

• Build and customize Salesforce applications for compatibility, stability, performance, and scalability with the Apex Code platform, so your company can enjoy the benefits of this concise and comprehensive platform.

• Understand and utilize Salesforce strategies the technical standards, specifications and policies that are supported within the Salesforce ecosystem

• Experience with Salesforce.com Governor limits, Lightning UI, Apex, and performance optimisation

• Leading and ensuring the successful delivery of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other marketing related implementation engagements from a technical standpoint

• Integrate multiple technologies with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

• Mentor junior team members in Marketing Cloud technology, Integration Technologies, and Salesforce best practices

• Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases for Salesforce projects

• Lead Salesforce development team in developing solutions through collaboration and discussion, within our teams and with clients

• Designs and implements business technology solutions for Non-profit customers, focussed on cloud based business solutions

• Entirely run on-demand on the Lightning Platform, developers need to write and upload Apex code to the platform and enable end-users to trigger the execution of the Apex code through the user interface.

• Build and deploy Apex trigger automation to streamline complex workflows, control how data is displayed, and automate common data entry processes for services, sales, and other unique business flows.

• Build ISV Packages - Managed & Unmanaged.

• Design solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and introduce new technologies when necessary.

• Design, build, and configure highly functional, scalable, and easily maintained applications.

• Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, and Email Alerts.

• Assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources and schedule development.

• Participate in peer code reviews.

• Provides application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects, and providing root cause analysis for defects. Troubleshoots and resolves functional and performance-related issues.

Skills:

• Programming languages:Minimum of 12 years of Proficiency in Salesforce-specific programming languages, such as Apex, Visualforce, Aura and Lightning Components, is essential for building custom applications, features, and user interfaces. Familiarity with web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is important for creating responsive and visually appealing solutions.

• Salesforce APIs and integration:Knowledge of Salesforce APIs, such as REST, SOAP, and Bulk API, is crucial for integrating the platform with external systems and enabling seamless data exchange. Understanding various integration patterns and middleware tools is necessary to create robust and scalable integrations.

• Data modeling and database design:Salesforce developers must be adept at designing and working with Salesforce's data model, including objects, fields, and relationships. They should also understand database design principles, such as normalization and indexing, to optimize data storage and retrieval. Must be fluent in SOQL.

• Salesforce security and sharing models:A strong grasp of Salesforce's security and sharing models is essential for ensuring that custom solutions adhere to the organization's data protection and access control requirements. Developers should know concepts like profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing rules.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills:Salesforce developers must be able to analyze complex business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and design effective solutions that address the organization's needs. Strong problem-solving skills are crucial for troubleshooting and resolving issues arising during development and implementation.

• Communication and collaboration:Effective communication and collaboration skills are vital for working with various stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and end users. Salesforce developers must be able to clearly articulate their ideas, gather requirements, and ensure that the solutions they develop align with the organization's goals and expectations.

• Continuous learning:The Salesforce platform constantly evolves, with new features, technologies, and best practices emerging regularly. As such, Salesforce developers must be committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the Salesforce ecosystem.

• Community Portals:Must have experience in Salesforce Experience Cloud & Sales Cloud

• Packaging:Must have experience in ISV packaging (Managed & Unmanaged Package)

• General:Through understanding of Salesforce Deployment Process and tools. Experience with agile software development. Working in a Product Development Environment is an added advantage.
