We are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Permanent Construction and Engineering Estimator to join our team. This role will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to manage and influence key project decisions, contributing significantly to our company's growth and success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing detailed cost estimates and budgeting for construction and engineering projects, from the initial concept to the final design.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop comprehensive, detailed, and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction and engineering projects.
2. Conduct quantity takeoffs and materials pricing, ensuring all elements are accounted for in the final estimate.
3. Participate in cost negotiations, leveraging your expertise to secure the best possible pricing for our projects.
4. Prepare and submit subcontract solicitations, managing responses and incorporating them into the project estimate.
5. Maintain and update all bid documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness at all times.
6. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop budgets and manage costs throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Monitor and track project costs, identifying any potential issues or deviations from the budget.
8. Provide ongoing cost advice and recommendations to project teams, contributing to effective decision-making and project success.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new materials or technologies that could impact project costs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of success.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
4. Proficiency in construction estimating software and other relevant tools.
5. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Commitment to continuous learning and development, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
