Principal Technical Product Manager (SAP RAR & BRIM) Location: Hybrid San Diego, CA
Duration: 12+ Months
Type: Contract (C2C allowed)
Pay Rate: $65-$70/hour on C2C

Akkodis is partnering with a leading medical device company in San Diego, CA to hire a Principal Technical Product Manager focused on SAP RAR and SAP BRIM. This hybrid role will drive strategic technology initiatives across the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) portfolio and act as the bridge between business needs and technical execution within Revenue Recognition and Finance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Leadership

  • Own and communicate the Product Vision & Roadmap for Revenue Recognition and Finance systems.
  • Drive full project life cycle from discovery to post-go-live support.
  • Develop business cases including scope, success metrics, and benefit realization.
  • Lead strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment with business and compliance objectives.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison for Revenue Rec and Finance teams across MMS.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with SMEs, Directors, and VPs to align priorities.
  • Advocate for process standardization and technology enablement.

Product Management

  • Lead discovery sessions, high-level requirements, and feature alignment.
  • Translate vision into epic/feature-level documentation and process maps.
  • Prioritize backlog and consult across architecture and transformation teams.

Program & Resource Oversight

  • Ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration across IT and business units.
  • Monitor KPIs such as adoption rates, efficiency, and cycle times.
  • Support training, awareness, and change management initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in IT, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA RAR and BRIM
  • 3+ years experience in Revenue Recognition, Finance, or Leasing
  • 3+ years program management experience
  • 7+ years project management experience
  • Expertise in agile methodologies, including Scrum ceremonies and backlog management
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Prior medical device industry experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, SharePoint

Preferred Certifications & Skills:

  • PMP or Agile Certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, A-CSPO)
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Lean Six Sigma (Greenbelt/Blackbelt) a plus
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, VersionOne, or Rally
