The Data Scientist plays a key role in enterprise data science roadmap, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to strategize and execute companywide AI initiatives. You will work with large volumes of data, innovative technologies, and advanced methods to solve real business problems. You'll design and run experiments, research new algorithms, and find new ways of optimizing risk, profitability, and the customer experience. You will work with a diverse team of business analysts, technical engineers, data architects, and project managers to deliver outcomes aligned with our business partner s strategy. In addition, you will work directly with the Data Science team to ensure consistency and compliance of deliverables to frameworks and governance processes.
Applicants should have a strong background in machine learning, statistical modeling, feature discovery/selection, optimization, exploratory data analysis, data mining and pattern recognition
- Develop and manage predictive (machine learning and deep learning) and prescriptive (mathematical optimization and simulation) analytic models in support of the organization s clinical, operations and business initiatives and priorities.
- Deploy solutions so that they provide actionable insights to the organization and are embedded or integrated with application systems.
- Support and drive analytic efforts designed around organization s strategic priorities and Biopharma/business problems.
- Work in a team to drive disruptive innovation, which may translate into improved quality of care, clinical outcomes, reduced costs, temporal efficiencies and process improvements.
- Build and extend our analytics portfolio supported by robust documentation.
- Work with autonomy to find solutions to complex problems using open source tools and in-house development.
- Stay abreast of state-of-the-art literature in the fields of operations research, statistical modeling, statistical process control and mathematical optimization.
- Create and communicate project plans and other required project documentation and provide updates to leadership as necessary.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business, IT and clinical leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise to facilitate collaboration and effective communication.
- Work with the analytics team and clinical/business stakeholders to develop pilots so that they may be tested and validated in pilot/incubator settings.
- Perform analysis to evaluate primary and secondary objectives from such pilots.
- Assist leadership with strategies for scaling successful projects across the organization and enhance the analytics applications based on feedback from end-users and clinical/business consumers.
- Assist leadership with dissemination of success stories (and failures) in an effort to increase analytics literacy and adoption across the organization.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in mining, processing, analyzing data; Pharmaceutical/health data would be beneficial.
- Experience working with various business stakeholders to develop project plans for business value analytics
- 3 years of experience with R/Python/SQL.
- 3 years of experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling and hypothesis testing, model evaluation, and scientific method selection.
- 3 years of experience with developing supervised and unsupervised machine learning models (including clustering, regression, logistic, classification, decision tree) from scratch.
- 3 years of experience with creating advanced data visualization with R and Python.
