IT Systems and Network Administrator II
Job Summary

The IT System and Network Administrator II ensures the continuous operation, security, and optimization of the company's IT infrastructure. This position would serve as a point of escalation from team members. Position requires great communication skills with other IT staff, end users, and vendors. This role encompasses daily operational support, infrastructure maintenance, network management, Wi-Fi and internet services, system operations, backup support, and lead support for IT project implementations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Infrastructure Maintenance and Support
  • Maintain and support end users and remote location IT needs and requests. Advanced understanding of critical services and internal customer support.
  • Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory (AD), including user account management, Group Policy, and permissions.
  • Depth of knowledge for Microsoft Azure/Entre as it is related to SAML. SSO, Enterprise Apps, Resources, and various cloud systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of DHCP and DNS Services.
  • Maintenance on Cisco routers and switches, HP Switches, Meraki firewalls, Ubiquity Aps and Switches. Deployment or installation of switches experience helpful.
  • Supporting Cisco AnyConnect VPN solutions to provide secure remote access for employees.
  • Implement on boarding of equipment, knowledge of imaging and follow asset inventory best practices.
  • Understanding security patching as it relates to servers, workstations, network equipment. Detailed change management for critical systems and updating documentation.
Network, Wi-Fi, and Firewall Management
  • Manage network configurations, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi, with deep knowledge of Cisco CLI, Meraki, HP and Ubiquity switching.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues, with a solid understanding of Cisco/Ubiquity switches.
  • Configure and manage Cisco or Meraki to ensure network security and control access to resources.
  • Collaborate with network and security vendors for any hardware upgrades, repairs, or configuration adjustments as needed.
System Operations
  • Administer ongoing projects using change management, end user communications, and stake holders.
Operations Support
  • Manage IT equipment for operations, including Point of Sales, Laptops, tablets, and printers.
  • Support security initiatives and be able to navigate EDRs and systems.
IT Support Services Remote Locations
  • Provide IT support services to ensure efficient operations and troubleshoot issues for Arcis properties.
  • Ensure that all IT services, and maintain consistent support for systems, applications, and network requirements.
Internet and Communication Services
  • Oversee internet connectivity, ensuring a stable and secure connection across the organization.
  • Support telephony systems and other communication tools for seamless connectivity.
Project Assistance and Budget Management
  • Assist in planning and executing IT infrastructure projects according to management requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS Server, VPN, Meraki, Cisco, Unify Wi-Fi, Cisco switches, and print servers and device management.
  • Leadership and training for junior team members.
  • Be a point of escalation.
  • Seeking administrator with ManageEngine experience (highly recommended - ServiceDesk Plus, Endpoint Central, ManageEngine Plus, ADAudit, etc.)
  • Backup and Recovery: Understanding backup projects and restoring as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving complex IT and device issues.
  • Communication: Strong skills for collaboration and user support.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in system administration, network management, Windows Active Directory, and Nutanix infrastructure.
  • Certifications (preferred): ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Travel
  • Some travel required within the United States. Less than 25%.
