Seeking a Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in Databricks to help clients solve complex technology challenges. Join our Data Analytics & AI team to shape innovative cloud and data engineering solutions.

 

Key Points:

  • 6-month contract-to-hire (Although FTE hires are the preference, this particular role due to current constraints and approvals for hires in later quarters)
  • Rate: $120-150/hr + or more depending on experience, alignment, location, etc.
  • Ideal candidates are based in Chicago or New York, but we are also open to locations including Seattle, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Dallas, and Minneapolis.
  • Onsite 2 days a week in downtown office.
  • Must be open to travel, generally 20-30%.
  • Applicants must have prior or current experience in tech/management consulting.
  • Compensation upon conversion will be $193,000 to $262,000 w/ 15% bonus depending on location, level-set, experience, etc.

 

What You ll Do:

  • Act as a key liaison with client executives (CIOs, IT Directors, etc.) to lead impactful projects
  • Partner closely with product teams to drive measurable outcomes
  • Design and execute cutting-edge data engineering strategies on the Databricks platform
  • Lead enterprise-scale Databricks transformation efforts
  • Translate client goals and challenges into forward-thinking technical solutions
  • Develop and promote reusable architectural frameworks and best practices
  • Coach and grow a team of skilled data engineers
  • Build scalable, high-performing data systems using Databricks technologies
  • Serve as a technical authority and handle escalations for advanced Databricks implementations

 

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years in data engineering, with extensive Databricks experience
  • Preferred certifications in Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Mastery of tools such as Delta Lake, Spark SQL, DataFrames, and Databricks Notebooks, Databricks File Systems (DBFS), Databricks Connect.
  • Hands-on engineering/modeling skills
  • Strong foundation in modern data architecture and platform design
  • Experience building ML pipelines and enterprise-grade data systems
  • Ability to simplify complex tech concepts for business leaders
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling, governance, ETL, quality, and security
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced team settings
  • Background in consulting is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Hybrid role in-office 2 days per week
