Leidos is seeking a talented Senior CEMA Software Engineer in Lawton, OK to join our local development team to create unique solutions for complex problems in engineering, spectrum warfare, and defense domains.

As a Senior CEMA Software Engineer, you will bring your passion of software design and development to design, build, deploy, and maintain mission critical solutions that support our customers' mission objectives. You will also be responsible for working with other software engineers and product managers, contributing directly to feature design and architecture. Our team is primarily in-person in Lawton. Culturally, we place emphasis on trust, respect, asynchronous communication, creativity, and valuing the mission of our customers. The Senior CEMA Software Engineer is a key individual contributor role and an opportunity to apply your unique combination of technical skills to developing our customers' solutions. In addition, you will leverage your skills as a technical leader and a mentor to develop other software engineers on the team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers in developing offensive and defensive cyber tools focused on radar, C2, surface-to-air, and artillery systems.
  • Develop simulations to emulate threat-representative Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) effects and environments.
  • Mentor and develop other software engineers.
  • Research current and future cyber security threats against military systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Define the technical direction and vision for our software products.
  • Work with subject matter experts and customer liaisons to define and develop solutions that solve our customers' problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree.
  • BS degree and 8+ years of software engineering relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of software engineering relevant experience.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel approx. 10% each year if necessary - moderate travel to testing locations, typically CONUS.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to Lawton, OK.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive experience with software engineering and should be prepared to demonstrate:
  • Experience in software architecture and design
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing technical leadership and mentorship to software development team(s)
  • Proficient in C++ or Python
  • Deep understanding of Linux platforms
  • Experience and interest in fundamental networking implementations and concepts.
  • Experience with Agile software development, CI/CD toolchains, and DevOps (e.g., Atlassian suite, git, Jenkins, Artifactory)
  • Experience with the following tools, concepts, and products is a plus:
    • Ubuntu, Red Hat, Kali Linux, or similar
    • Networking Protocols
    • Wireshark
