Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator III in This role revolves around the administration, support, and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware within our IT infrastructure.

Remote, prefer candidates located in the West Coast

Role Summary The Business Optimization Systems and Solutions (BOSS) team has an opening for a competent IT Systems Engineer with a background in DevOps. This role involves supporting and maintaining our enterprise IT services, covering the full system lifecycle processes, such as requirements definition, system design, security reviews, deployment/implementation, and operations and maintenance (O& M).

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with software development, operations, security, and project teams to deliver enterprise services across AWS, Azure, and private/hybrid cloud environments.
  • Analyze requirements, design solutions, provision resources, install/configure services, and extend ongoing operations and maintenance support.
  • Deploy and manage custom Microsoft .NET web applications.
  • Integrate and manage COTS and SaaS solutions.
  • Handle security documentation, engage in security reviews, and remedy security vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor system resources and key processes in real-time.
  • Deliver Tier 2/3 support for our products and services.
  • Offer on-call/after-hours support on a rotational basis.


Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree plus at least 4 years of experience in System Engineering or System Administration.
  • Proven experience in administering Windows Server operating systems; experience with Linux is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in system and performance monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, capable of planning and prioritizing work without supervision.

Desired Skills
  • Experience in supporting Microsoft Web Servers and Microsoft SQL.
  • Exposure in managing servers and services in AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Azure DevOps Server, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Proficiency in using Terraform and Ansible.

Note: Additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a Bachelor's degree.
