- Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of technical knowledge required.
- 2+ years of Database Administration experience supporting one or more database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar technologies.
- Any exposure to Kafka, Redis, ELK or similar technologies will be a plus.
- Good knowledge of Linux / Unix operating systems is required. An exposure of Linux shell and strong programming skill in languages such as Python or Java or C/C++ or Perl or any other language is required preferably in a database context.
- Understanding of system architecture and system administration tasks is a plus.
- The person must have the aptitude to work with application and business data and must have the mind-set, ability to learn/support multiple data platform technologies and also work in a fast-paced business environment.
- Excellent problem solving, issue identification, analytical and technical documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skill.
- Willing to take on-call rotation including weekend work.
