We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Welding Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in welding processes and manufacturing process improvement to drive efficiency and quality in our production processes. As a Welding Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and optimization of welding processes, ensuring compliance with ISO 9000 standards, and managing large assemblies and weldments. The ideal candidate will have a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize welding techniques, procedures, and applications to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of weldments and large assemblies.
  • Ensure all welding processes and procedures adhere to ISO 9000 standards.
  • Lead manufacturing process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve productivity.
  • Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure weldments meet specified standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the welding team.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure the manufacturability of new products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues that arise during the production process.
  • Keep abreast of latest advancements in welding technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Welding Engineering role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and materials.
  • Proven experience in managing large assemblies and weldments.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9000 standards and quality management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex welding issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using computer software and applications related to welding engineering and design.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
