About the Team
Do you wish to transform the employee experience by making work more personalized and productive for employees? Workday is looking for skilled software engineers to join our team within the IDX Predictive Experience product organization in Boulder, CO or Vancouver, CAN.

In IDX Predictive Experience, we strive to simplify and extend Workday to each employee in a predictive and personalized way, enabling employers to better engage and support employees while personalizing and streamlining their work.

We build and improve Workday's homepage for all desktop users, delivering an intuitive and personalized experience to support managers and employees to achieve their goals within Workday.

We need inquisitive, hard-working and passionate engineers who proudly contribute clean code and collaborate optimally with various partners. About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer on Workday's IDX Predictive Experience team, you will:
  • Write and maintain robust, efficient and testable code using best-of-breed languages, frameworks and tools, including React, TypeScript, GraphQL, NodeJS, Cypress and Jest
  • Innovate on new features that can reach millions of users
  • Deliver reliable software through continuous integration, automated testing, and in-depth code reviews
  • Work on an Agile Scrum team that delivers on shared commitments
  • Be an excellent teammate, placing the team's collective success as the highest priority

About You

Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience with modern web development frameworks, including React
  • 4+ years of experience writing TypeScript or modern JavaScript (ES6)
  • 4+ years of experience working with GraphQL, NodeJS, Express
  • 4+ years of experience building enterprise-level software with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Docker and build technologies such as Webpack, Babel, and Jenkins

  • You love learning new technologies, languages, tools, and frameworks - and thinking carefully about which ones will be of real benefit in your projects

  • You have a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and design patterns
  • You understand the value of automated tests at all levels of the testing pyramid
  • You're experienced in working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment using Scrum optimally
  • You have strong written and verbal communications skills

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $124,000 USD - $186,000 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $117,800 USD - $210,000 USD
