APP Developer (Contract)

Job Title: APP DEVELOPER (Contract to Perm)

Job Summary: Barton & Gray Mariners Club is dedicated to providing its Members with unmatched experiences on the water, operating over 80+ Yachts in 33 harbors with a staff of 225 Individuals. Based in Boston and reporting directly to the Chief Technology Advisor, the App Developer role is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of the companies proprietary software. This contract position is expected to last four months and could transition to a permanent position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of iOS applications critical in running Barton & Grays front and back end business
• Collaborate with designers and B&G department managers to understand project requirements and translate them into processes and technical specifications.
• Write well-constructed, readable code in Swift.
• Analyze and refactor code; write test cases.
• Convert content (visual styles, promotional materials, and other club materials) into SwiftUI views.
• Understand processes and human nature that drive application processes, constraints, and requirements.
• Use prototype-to-production, embrace XP, and (sometimes) test-driven-development methods for ability to embrace change in the software realm.onduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, tools, and best practices.
• Contribute ideas for improving existing products and processes to drive continuous innovation and efficiencies in all Barton & Gray.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Swift programming language and iOS development frameworks (UIKit, Core Animation, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascrip/Web Frameworks
• Familiarity with Xcode IDE and version control systems (Git).
• Basic understanding of software design principles and patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Prior experience with mobile app development (personal projects, internships, or academic coursework) is a plus.
