RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cyber Security SME in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities:
* Cyber Security SME will develop, implement, and manage comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and solutions to protect client systems, focusing on identifying and mitigating potential threats and vulnerabilities
* Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability analyses to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, particularly within cloud environments
* Provide expert guidance on security protocols, tools, and technologies, ensuring the highest level of protection for systems and data across various platforms, including cloud infrastructures
* Lead incident response efforts, ensuring swift identification, containment, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents
* As a Cyber Security SME, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enforce security policies and protocols, maintaining alignment with federal cybersecurity standards
* Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement of security measures
* Contribute to the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans with a strong focus on security
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
* 7 to 10 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role, with a proven track record of managing complex security environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
