RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Data Engineer I in North Reading, MA.
Summary:
As a Data Engineer you will contribute to the development of a data lake and data services. You will be developing and supporting the analytic technologies that give our customers timely, flexible and structured access to their data. The Data Engineer I will be responsible for designing and implementing a platform using third-party and in-house reporting tools, modeling metadata. You will work with business customers in understanding the business requirements and implementing solutions to support analytical and reporting needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of data engineering experience
* 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience
* Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
* Experience working on and delivering end to end projects independently
* Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, and Ruby
* Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
Top 3 must-have hard skills:
* AWS Technologies
* Python
* SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
* Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
