Job Details

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst with expertise in subscription-based business models, customer retention, and engagement analysis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of product feature usage and the ability to provide insights that drive business outcomes. A strong emphasis will be placed on domain knowledge and the ability to apply data-driven strategies within the context of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subscription-Based Analytics:

    • Analyze subscription trends, including new acquisitions, churn rate, and renewal patterns.
    • Develop predictive models to forecast subscriber behavior and identify opportunities for retention improvement.
    • Monitor customer lifetime value (LTV) and subscription health metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Customer Retention & Engagement:

    • Design and execute strategies to track engagement across customer touchpoints and platforms.
    • Identify drivers of customer satisfaction and loyalty, and provide actionable recommendations to reduce churn.
    • Conduct segmentation analysis to personalize retention strategies for different customer cohorts.
  • Product Feature Usage Analytics:

    • Evaluate product feature adoption and usage patterns to identify high-value features and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with product teams to assess the impact of feature updates on user engagement.
    • Deliver insights that inform feature prioritization based on business objectives and user needs.
  • Business Domain Expertise:

    • Apply deep business domain knowledge to contextualize data findings and drive impactful results.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert, bridging the gap between technical data insights and strategic business goals.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to align analytics initiatives with subscription business objectives.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that communicate findings clearly and support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing, or related field (Master s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience working with subscription-based business models and analyzing customer retention and engagement data.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools and programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, or CRM systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings.
  • Strong business acumen and domain expertise in subscription-based businesses and customer lifecycle management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience cohort analysis, or advanced statistical modeling.
  • Expertise in customer journey mapping, subscription retention strategies, and churn reduction techniques.
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics and machine learning approaches for subscription forecasting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a growth mindset.
