Installation and Scanning Technician
Work Schedule: 3 weeks field work, 1 week off
Pay Range: $52K - $55K base salary, plus Per Diem, any OT (Travel Arrangements and Lodging provided by company)
The Installation and Scanning Technician is responsible for scanning plant assets (i.e. pipes, pieces of equipment, systems, components, etc.) on-site as directed and scheduled and install materials. Candidate must be based in the Houston/Baytown, TX area and must be able to travel for field work.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scans plant assets according to customer specification on-site as directed.
- Identifies issues during scanning efforts and reports concerns and issues to the Project Lead.
- Identifies gaps between deliverables and notifies the Project Lead of issues.
- Installs materials according to customer specification on-site as directed by the Project lead.
- Reads and updates Project Definition Documents (PDD) and responds to the needs of the project.
- Report any issues while on site to Project Lead when they occur.
- Assists in completing the DSU (Daily Status Update) as necessary.
- Responds to and mitigates customer requests, concerns or issues.
- Consistently follows and enforces all Company and site-specific safety protocol.
- Upholds the Company standard of service at all times per ISO procedures.
- Assists in executing all necessary client communication needs with project lead as per the Client Communication Guide.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience.
- Prior experience in construction or related field a plus.
- Ability to read vendor drawings and/or P&ID s
- Valid Driver s license and clean driving record required
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work at considerable heights (averages 20-80ft)
- Experience working with lifts, snips and banders is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
There is a moderate risk of injury when installing materials on-site. Safety equipment is required to be worn. Work hours can average up to 50 - 60 hours a week. Scheduled hours will vary based on the ability to access the customer s work site. Travel (up to three weeks at a time) to customer s work sites is required. Frequent walking, climbing, lifting (25 70 lbs.), and pushing are expected.
