Job Details

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a Research Associate III supporting a government research facility in the Fort Novosel, AL area. The Research Associate III provides scientific support for the execution of specialized biomechanical research projects.

Responsibilities for the Research Associate III include:

Support the objectives of Injury Biomechanics and Protection Group and specific projects, including surrogate markers of human injury through human performance, fatigue, endurance, and other pre-injurious biomarkers.

Conduct injury biomechanics research with equipment and in field settings.

Interface with volunteers, collaborators, research team members, military personnel, and unit leadership.

Coordinate and communicate project, personnel, and resource schedules to ensure project and program goals are achieved in a timely manner.

Support and lead laboratory and offsite field studies including training and operational site visits, study preparation and packing, data collection, and study execution.

Develop research work plans, data collection logistics, and analyses to accomplish the goals of the projects assigned.

Record all laboratory SOPs, research project data, and results in notebooks and electronic systems in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications for the Research Associate III include:

6+ years of experience in the field of biomedical engineering and/or clinical research.

Experience and proficiency in MATLAB are strongly preferred.

Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain/maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Biomechanical related field of study.

Compensation for the Research Associate III includes:

Salary Range: approximately $70,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience
